COVID 19 – RIMS FORUM 2020 POSTPONED
IPWEA NZ is aware of community and industry concern about COVID-19 – and the impact this outbreak is having. IPWEA NZ want to assure everyone that they are taking this concern seriously and are continually monitoring and acting upon advice provided by the Ministry of Health.
However due to the rapidly changing circumstances, The RIMS Forum, due to be held in Napier 25 -26 March, has been postponed.
We have arranged for the event to be rescheduled to 20 -21 October 2020 at the same venue in Napier. However, this will depend upon the situation at the time regarding COVID-19.

Road Infrastructure Management (RIMS), Infrastructure Decision Support (IDS), New Zealand Utilities Advisor Group (NZUAG) and The Roading Efficiency Group (REG) are continuing with a two day event, driven by the success of the previous forums. We are proud to be supporting regional New Zealand, hosting the forum at the Napier Conference Centre.
Draft Programme outline
Tuesday: Plenary presentations aimed at the broad roading infrastructure management industry. Sharing asset management good practice examples, data collection, works management, transforming data into intelligence and the use of systems and data in optimised decision making and the management of assets. Day one will be showcase ingenuity, with examples of leading best practice and thinking around adapting to current issues, innovation and managing better than we have.
Wednesday: Two concurrent, focused theme streams featuring more detailed technical talks as well as workshops for sharing challenges and learnings, debating and digging further into these key areas.

An important goal of day two is to provide a forum for professionals in different sectors of the industry who do not often get the opportunity to meet as a community to come together, network and make contacts.
