Live maps – RAMM condition data and programme. Mike Jacobson, Christchurch City Council

Christchurch has recently been doing work to make its asset data available to all staff. The RAMM mapping tools have been instrumental in this. We have created a series of filters within RAMM such that the users can call up assets, condition data, prioritised programmes, and maintenance delivery progress.
The results of this is that staff look at the live data, rather than offline snapshots.
This has direct benefits with respect to identifying and correcting data issues, as well as being more efficient.

Michael is Team Leader Transport Asset Management, at Christchurch City Council. His team is responsible for data management and renewals planning.
He has 15 years’ experience in the Civil Engineering industry and sits on the REG Leadership Group.
